Welcome to ECIO's Education and Scholarship program—a beacon of hope for the Maasai community. At ECIO, we recognize the transformative power of education, especially for girls, in breaking the cycle of disempowerment and poverty that has plagued Maasai communities for generations. The lack of education has profound effects on their well-being and development, hindering access to healthcare, perpetuating harmful practices, and limiting opportunities.
Our mission: to provide children, particularly girls, with access to education and support, empowering them to become agents of change within their community. Through education advocacy, community outreach, and student sponsorship, ECIO is making strides toward a brighter future for the Maasai people. Join us in this journey as we pave the way for a more inclusive and empowered Maasai society.
Sponsor a Student
A sponsor changes lives. Education changes everything.
Sponsorship is a long-term commitment to the complete education of a student
through vocational school, college, or university. Sponsors receive a photo of their
student every year, and can exchange letters with her and if a visit to Tanzania is in
your travel plan, you will be able to meet her and visit her school as well.
The total annual cost to sponsor a student
Primary (class 1-7)- $1,000
Secondary (form 1-4) – $1,000
Postsecondary (vocational, college, university)- $2,000
