Gender-based Violence (GBV)

Violence affects millions of women and girls, a major public problem rooted in gender inequality that grossly violates their human rights. GBV worse within the patriarch Maasai community, ECIO seeks to promote policy reform, educate men and boys on gender equity, change attitudes curb towards violence, collaborate with spiritual and cultural leaders, and assist the most vulnerable populations. It also provides women with education on their legal rights, and empowerment to report issues to local authorities and seek resolution.
